ONLINE STUDENTS- make your own ice core! In a empty (and clean) soda can, clear drink bottle, or empty Pringles canister, pour 60 mL of water in the bottom. Freeze overnight. Then pour another 60mL of water and add a small teaspoon of dirt. Freeze overnight. Then pour 60mL of cold tea or coffee and freeze overnight. Pour 60mL of clear water and add 1teaspoon of sand and freeze overnight. Pour 60mL of clear water and add a small plastic insect or animal. Freeze overnight. Finally, pour 60mL of clear water, add a drop of blue food coloring, and freeze overnight.

On Thursday, Jan. 21, join the class virtually as we inspect our ice cores together!
