All About Me!
I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was 5 years old. This wish was further developed when my older siblings had children, and I became an Auntie to 7 wonderful niblings! My teaching philosophy is based in the reciprocal relationship between teachers and students - "we learn more from our students every day than they learn from us." Navigating this crazy big world begins with understanding yourself, and the easiest way to learn about yourself is through interaction with others.
I have been teaching for 7 years. I have my CDA Certificate/License and Preschool Director's License. I plan to continue my education to hold a BA in Early Childhood Education and Teaching License for K-12 Math and Science. I'm also fully trained in CPR and medication administration.
When I'm not at school or on the Mesa, I'm usually found at home with my husband Rand and our small, though ever growing, zoo of animals including our 3 dogs, 2 cats, snake, fish, and Iguana. We also have cows, chickens, pigs, geckos and chinchillas, on our farm! My favorite things all start with the letter P: penguin, pumpkins, periwinkle, peonies, and puzzles (especially word puzzles and riddles!)!
