We did it! We made it to week 8 of online learning. I am so proud of you and all of your perseverance! You deserve to be in the hall of fame. But you didn't do it on your own. You probably had a parent or grandparent or sibling or someone who has helped you on this journey. So for your WE>me activity, I would like for you to thank them for helping you during this time. After you have thanked them, I would like for you to write in the answer box below 1)who you thanked, and 2) how you thanked them (card, talk with them, text, etc).

Friends are so important, and even though we can't hang out with them, we know they are still there for us. For this week's WE>me, I would like for you to listen to the song at https://youtu.be/HRpqS9d2f74. Afterward I would like for you to reach out to a friend via phone, text, email, letter, radio, over the fence, or ?????? (you pick). When you have checked in with them, please report back the method you used and what their response was.

Good morning (or whatever time it is)! I know we are spread out across the Grand Valley in our homes and we are all missing each other. But you are not alone. You can reach out to someone if you need…you can lean on someone…So for today, I would like you to listen to “Lean On Me” by Bill Withers at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdlPVBvkr-s. After the video, I would like you to reach out to someone you know by calling, texting, email, talking over the fence, etc. to let them know they can lean on you, even to just talk. After you reach out to someone, come let me know who you reached out to. Respond to a classmate after you have given your answer.

I talked to my friend this morning and we were able to share a joke, which made us both laugh as this is a joke we have told back and forth for 12 years! As we were wrapping up the conversation, I said “see ya” and her response was “chair!” (let me know if you get the joke)

In this week's video we are watching a pep talk from Kid President. Do you remember what a pep talk is? (It's an encouraging speech given by someone who wants you to go try your best or hardest). In this video Kid President says "love changes everything". So after you watch this video, I would like you to go do something for someone else. Then come back and share with everyone in the comments 1)what you did, 2)how they responded/reacted 3)how doing this act made you feel.

I know we normally don't have a WE>me in face to face class time. But I miss you, and the smiles that you put on my face. So for a super easy assignment, I would like you to do something to put a smile on someone else's face.

It could be a crazy dance, a wave, a phone call, a sign, playing a game with them, or anything else. When you have made someone smile, I would like you to come back and write what you did, who you did it for, and how it made you feel in the assignment comments. You are welcome to respond to your classmates too!
