Due:

Colorado Character Audience Form in Google Classroom

Colorado Character Audience Form

Learners,
To get credit for the three Colorado Characters you watched, you will fill out the form attached about the them.

I would fill this out while watching the Colorado Character Presentation. Make sure they are facts that are just about that character. They shouldn't be things like they had children or had siblings. Most characters have these. Think about new facts that are only about the Colorado Character.

With all writing assignments, please make sure to watch your grammar and spelling.

Due:

Final Colorado Character Presentation in Google Classroom

Final Colorado Character Presentation

Learners,

We will be done with ELA by Tuesday of this week.

Attend our meeting at 8:00 am on Monday to learn about details/expectations about presentations.

Our presentations will begin at 8:30 am. We are not adding a time to a slot because everyone's presentations will be after the person in front of them presents so please don't ask me for a time.

Be in the meeting and be ready with your google slides ready to present. We should not have to wait for you to log on or to show up.

You need to be ready to go when it's your turn. Same thing with poster boards, have them ready

. If you are wearing a costume, have it on. There won't be prep time between presentations.

Join with Google Meet meet.google.com/nzt-xxsj-gvw for both Monday and Tuesday

Do you have to stay for all presentations?
You do have to watch at least three presentations, but it would be great if you could watch more to support your classmates. They are supporting you;)

Expected behavior during presentations:
You enter muted
You are respectful and listen
You don't chat while they are presenting
If you are next...have your presentation ready to show

After each learner presents, three if you can ask a question about the presentation...only three. Raise your hand if you have a question AFTER they present.

After you present, submit your work to get a grade. I will have grades ready by Wednesday.

Due:

Sign up for presentations on May 11th and 12th in Google Classroom

Sign up for presentations on May 11th and 12th

Did you finish your presentation?
Did you practice with a teacher?
Please do those before you sign up for your presentation time next week.
Please type your name in the spot you wish to present. We have to see your name on the sign up.

Due:

Colorado Character Presentation Prep in Google Classroom

Colorado Character Presentation Prep

Learners,

Last week you gathered information about your Colorado Character and why they are important to Colorado history.

This week you will prepare for your presentation you will give next week to your class. This assignment is worth 40 points.

Options:
Create a poster board on your own- you can ask your teacher questions if you have them

Create a presentation using google slides on your own-you can ask your teacher questions if you have them

With the google slides option, you will have to click on the document, click on file, then make your own copy.

Make sure you don't forget to attach the finished assignment when you are done. I will not be able to grade it if you do not attach it.

Please do NOT type an essay. This is just helping you piece it together so you know how it should sound. We are only doing a poster board or a google slide presentation.

When you are done, make an appointment (This will appear on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am) to meet with your teacher to practice your presentation. I have attached two essays from last year so you can see how they should sound when you say them out loud. Your presentation should sound like a story.

Teachers will be available on only Wednesday and Thursday for learners to practice, so get your presentations done first.

Turn in after you practice presenting with your teacher
